On April 23, Eagle Scout Nick Svendson partnered with Hamilton Co. Tourism to plant a tulip poplar tree at Westfield’s Simon Moon Park to celebrate Indiana’s Bicentennial. Nine other Tree of Hope ceremonies were or will be held throughout the county. Each ceremony features a presentation of colors, the Pledge of Allegiance, dedication of the tree and local speakers.
