City announces summer concerts

Concert season is returning to Fishers’ Nickel Plate District as the city has announced its lineup of summer shows. Tuesday and Friday night concerts will begin in June, plus a new series of Wednesday afternoon shows will kick off in May.

The City of Fishers’ Tuesday night concert series is presented by IU Health Saxony, with shows running from 7 to 9 p.m.

This season’s slate of Tuesday night performances includes:

  • June 7: My Yellow Rickshaw with sponsor Cathedral
  • June 14: The Innocent Band with sponsor Primrose of West Fishers
  • June 21: The Bishops with sponsor Citizens State Bank
  • June 28: Dude with sponsor Boomerang Development
  • July 5: Endless Summer Band with sponsor Kona Ice
  • July 12: Parrots of the Caribbean with sponsor Bose McKinnney Law Offices
  • July 19: Dave and Rae with sponsor The Goddard School

The Friday night Amphitheater After Dark shows run from 9 to 11 p.m. The series of concerts includes:

  • June 3: Woomblies Rock Orchestra
  • June 10: Bad Brad and Slipsey Slims
  • June 17: Sounds of Summer: A Beach Boys Tribute
  • June 24: Jambox
  • July 8: Souled Out
  • July 15: Jennie DeVoe
  • July 22: Dogs of Society: A Musical Tribute to Elton John
  • July 29: Rodney Step
  • Aug. 5: Torn
  • Aug. 12: The Reno Connection
  • Aug. 19: Carrie Newcomer
  • Aug. 26: John Banard

New this year, the city is offering nearby professionals a chance at an unique lunch break with its Concerts on the Central Green series of shows that will run from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays.

That lineup includes:
