Margie Jean Burnett Fisher, 90, Carmel, died April 14. She was born Sept. 6, 1925 to Henry and Hazel Ross Burnett in Indianapolis.

Margie was a 1943 graduate of Carmel High School. Also, during high school, she worked as a cashier at Maude’s Market in downtown Carmel. Margie grew up in the Gray Friends Church and Carmel Friends Church, where she was a soprano in the choir.

During her working years, Margie was employed at Noblesville Schools, was secretary at Carmel Friends Church and was the owner of Cottage Antiques in Zionsville from 1973 to 1980.

Survivors include her children, Christy (John), Richard (Kay) and Robert (Cathy), granddaughter Michelle (Garrett), one great-grandson, five step-grandchildren and one step-grandson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to the Carmel High School Alumni Scholarship Foundation, Carmel Clay Public Library or Carmel United Methodist Church.
