Restrictions coming at I-69, 106th

Multiple traffic lane restrictions and rolling slowdowns on I-69 will allow for construction crews to remove the existing 106th Street overpass bridge during overnight hours beginning April 18.

Weather permitting, lane closures and rolling slowdowns of traffic will begin after 10 p.m. and end before 6 a.m. the following day.

Monday, April 18

Southbound I-69 will have one left lane closed and northbound I-69 will have rolling slowdowns and up to three right lanes closed.

Tuesday, April 19

Northbound I-69 will have up to three right lanes closed and southbound I-69 will have rolling slowdowns and up to three right lanes closed.

Wednesday, April 20

Both northbound and southbound I-69 will have rolling slowdowns and up to three right lanes closed.

Thursday, April 21

Southbound I-69 will have rolling slowdowns and up to three right lanes closed.

The speed limit on I-69 has been reduced to 55 mph near the construction zone at mile marker 204 and may be reduced to 45 mph during overnight hours.

The new I-69 and 106th Street interchange is scheduled to open before the end of this year. For more, visit in.gov/indot/3399.htm.
