Police search for Carmel armed robbery suspect


On April 17, at 11:49 p.m., two black male suspects were involved in an armed robbery at the Village Pantry located at 9601 College Ave.

The first suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5’07” tall with an unknown weight wearing a black hooded (North Face) sweatshirt with red lettering. This suspect displayed a silver semi-automatic handgun. The second suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5’04” tall with an unknown weight wearing a black ski mask and dark clothing.

Based on the surveillance video, it appears the second suspect is wearing black and white Nike Hyperchase shoes. Both suspects were wearing what appeared to be blue latex gloves.

The suspects were reported to be in their early 20s. Both suspects fled east bound from the Village Pantry with an undetermined amount of cash, cigarettes and cigars.

The Carmel Police are wanting to identify the suspects .  If anyone has information on these suspects to contact the Carmel Police Department Investigations Division at 317-571-2511 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477 (TIPS).
