Whitestown police searching for person who left dog in dumpster to die


Whitestown police are searching for a person who dumped a dog in a construction site dumpster to die.

A resident in the Clark Meadows neighborhood heard the dog barking from inside the dumpster March 10 and called police. Whitestown police and fire officials worked with the Humane Society of Boone Co. to rescue the dog, who is reported to be scared but unharmed.
