Two time Top Chef finalist and co-host of ABC’s hit series The Chew, Carla Hall, made an appearance Jan. 23 at Carmel’s Market District. She met with fans and signed copies of her newly released book, “Carla’s Comfort Foods: Favorite Dishes From Around the World.”

Greatest inspiration: Her grandmother, who always told Hall, “It’s your job to be happy,” and Oprah Winfrey. Hall admires how Winfrey integrates spirituality into what she does.
Biggest pet peeve: Wrinkles on a made bed.
Food allergies: None. She has a sensitivity to wheat bread but loves it so much she eats it anyway.
Favorite food: Lemons and other citrus fruits
Favorite fast food restaurant: Chipotle
