Arts District to host Valentine’s Gallery Walk

Romance will be in the air at the Feb. 13 gallery walk through the Carmel Arts & Design District.

On the Saturday before Valentine’s Day, guests can visit any of the art galleries from 5 to 9 p.m. and receive a free rose.

There will be trolley rides from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. taking visitors up and down Main Street and free art classes in several galleries. One special exhibit — fitting for the holiday — is “Hearts and Flowers” art at ArtSplash Gallery on Main Street.

There’s also a scavenger hunt starting at 5 p.m. with lots of romance-themed prizes. Scavenger hunt winners can receive original art from award-winning calligrapher Erika Woods, two tickets to the Carmel Symphony at The Palladium, dance lessons from Darren’s Ballroom, free mosaic classes from Nancy Keating of ArtSplash and Mosaics and Wine, ice skating passes, a stationary set from Jilly Jack Designs and more.
