St. Vincent Fishers announced today the opening of a new Infusion Center, a facility offering infusion services in a state-of-the-art, patient-centered environment. The Infusion Center aims to provide Fishers-area patients with access to comprehensive, high-quality care that’s closer to home. St. Vincent Fishers is a member of Ascension, the nation’s largest Catholic and not-for-profit health system.
The 5,000 square-foot facility will allow current St. Vincent patients who live in or near Fishers to reduce their commute time to other treatment centers, giving patients the opportunity to receive infusion services—including chemotherapy, medication infusion, hydration infusion and blood transfusions—in a comfortable, convenient setting.
“We have a responsibility to provide care in a relaxed environment that’s close to home,” said Gary Fammartino, Administrator, St. Vincent Fishers. “We know that convenient access to care is an essential factor to ensure that patients receive their treatment on a regular and consistent basis. We hope the new Infusion Center will make treatment a little easier and be of particular benefit to our patients whose primary care doctors already practice at St. Vincent Fishers.”
In addition to their choice of private rooms or common areas for treatment, patients of the Infusion Center can access other therapeutic and support services, including hand massage and aromatherapy by certified specialists, private TVs and music, and education and classes for patients and their caregivers.
The St. Vincent Infusion Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Patients can schedule an appointment by contacting the Center at 415-9549.
