Approximately 500 pounds of marijuana were confiscated and one person was arrested after Fishers Police Department officers searched a semi truck parked outside the Walmart in the 8300 block of East 96th Street.

Shortly before 4 a.m. Feb. 2, a patrolling Fishers police officer observed suspicious activity around the parked semi. The officer met with two men who told the officer they were waiting to make a delivery in the area. Suspecting the men were being untruthful, the officer called a dog-sniffing K-9 unit to the scene.

The initial search resulted in the largest drug bust in Fishers history.

The two men were detained and, after speaking with them, investigators determined only the driver had knowledge of the marijuana. The truck driver, 25-year-old Isaac Roberto Aristiga Bojorquez, of Mexico, was charged with intent to deliver marijuana over 5 pounds, a Level 5 felony. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
