Letter: No diversity of opinion in Carmel

Editor,

The Jan. 4 City Council meeting was one for the record books and probably a harbinger of things to come. I lost track, but I believe the council considered more than 25 items, and, in the process, held probably three times that many votes. It is interesting to note that every one of the votes was unanimous, a statistical improbability. So much for diversity of opinion or perspective in our town! I would suggest renaming the Carmel City Council as the Carmel City Mutual Admiration Society. The mayor clearly has all the horses tightly hobbled and firmly in the corral. This can’t turn out to be good for Carmel’s citizens.
