Jenni Keller has found a way to connect her two loves.

“Writing has always been a personal passion,” said Keller, who adds writing was part of her previous jobs.

So when a friend suggested she write something in connection to her love of studying the Bible, the Carmel resident decided to give it a try.

“I found I really enjoy it and enjoy being able to study my Bible for my own personal growth and being able to help other people be connected to God’s word,” Keller said. “That’s a passion of mine.”

Keller’s third Bible study book called “Love Comes Near: An Advent Bible Study” was recently released.

“It’s designed to start Dec. 1 and be every day until Christmas Day,” Keller said. “It’s a personal, devotional type of book. It’s designed to take 10 to 15 minutes a day and tells you what passage to read and then asks a few questions.

“The idea (for the title) is in the Old Testament, God felt distant. His gift to us through sending Jesus is He sent love to us.”

Keller said love comes to us still through a personal relationship with Jesus.

The book includes a family advent calendar and that there is one scripture for families to read together.

Keller, 35, is connected with a ministry called HelloMornings, which uses the Bible studies she writes. She said HelloMornings puts women in groups based on their time zone. Groups are formed on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

“We commit to do a Bible study together and check in with each other,” Keller said.

Keller’s father, Steve Poe, is Northview Church lead pastor. The book, which costs $4.99, is available on her website, jennikeller.me and on Amazon.com. It is also available at Capstone Cafe & Bookstore inside Northview Church in Carmel. Keller’s two other books are “Complete in Christ: A Six-week Study in Colossians” and “Establish Your Heart: A Six-week Study of James.”

For the past six years, Keller has been a full-time mother. She and husband, Andy, have twin girls Lauren and Jillian, 9, Claira, 7, and Griffin, 4. Keller, a Ball State graduate with a journalism and public relations degree, previously was involved in marketing and event planning and was the communications director at Northview.
