Michael and Karen Gardner of Fishers recreated the iconic photo of a sailor kissing a nurse in Times Square next to a statue of the same in downtown Carmel. Karen Gardner said she found the navy outfit at a flea market this summer and bought it in honor of her father, who served during World War II. The uniform was a perfect fit for her husband, so the couple decided to dress up like the sailor and the nurse for Halloween. (submitted photo)
