On Saturday, Nov. 7 The Villages will host the 8th annual CHAIRish the Children from 6 p.m. To 9 p.m., inside the Lucas Estate Sports Pavilion in Carmel. The Villages is Indiana’s largest non-profit foster care, adoption, and family services organization. The event will raise money for more than 1,400 Indiana children.

Twenty local artists have taken unfinished chairs and created custom pieces of art. The chairs will be sold during the event along with other silent auction items including a mixology class at Thunderbird and a cigar party at Blend Cigar Bar.

“I have two artists from Zionsville who have done two chairs. One of them got involved because her parents actually fostered kids growing up. So she decided to participate. She has created chairs the last five ears for the event,” said Rae Hostetler of Hostetler Public Relations.

The theme for this year’s event is “When I Grow Up…BOLD Dreams for Bright Futures.” There will be a “FUNd & Games Zone” where participants can try different sports to win prizes.

The LESP is at the home of Charlotte and Forrest Lucas. The 15,000 square-foot home includes a replica of Indiana University’s basketball arena. Guests will be able to see the sprawling estate up close and personal.

Tickets are $75 each or two for $140 and includes appetizers and two cocktails. Tickets can be purchase at villages.org.
