Teen reported missing nearly two weeks ago found safe


A girl who had been reported missing nearly two weeks ago has been found safe.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Dept. officers located Shania Readus, 15, near 34th St. and Capitol Ave. in Indianapolis. Police said she ran away from home.

Readus and her parents, Rishawn and Lydia Readus, checked in with the Carmel Police Dept. around 9:30 p.m. Oct. 28. Police said she appeared to be safe and uninjured. Officers verified her information and removed her from the Indiana Missing Children’s Clearinghouse database.
