Hilda Moon, 79, Westfield, died Oct. 4 in Leesburg, Fla. She was born Aug. 29, 1936 to Gerald and Dorialice (Hayworth) Gerard in Noblesville.

Hilda had been involved with the Indiana State Fair for several years, where she had been the superintendent of the Western Horse Show and the 4-H Horse Show. She was a past-president of the Indiana Quarter Horse Association and secretary for the Indiana Saddle Horse Association. She was a member of the Eastern Star, was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking for her family.

She is survived by her children, Debby Elliott, Marty (Beth) Moon, Malinda (Bob) Mohler, Mike (Maureen) Moon; sister, Susie Knill; brother, Jim Gerard; four grandchildren, Kiya, Armand, Lindsay and Chelsea; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin M. Moon; son, Kenneth G. Moon; sister, Barb Blazier; and son-in-law, Lee Elliott.

Visitation was Oct. 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Rd. in Noblesville. A private graveside service was held at Eagletown Cemetery in Westfield, with Pastor Jack Terry officiating.
