“Where’s Amy?” … at The Center For The Performing Arts Songbook Celebration Gala. The mission of the Great American Songbook Foundation is to inspire and educate by celebrating the Great American Songbook. The Songbook Hall of Fame was created to pay tribute to the people and personalities who have made significant contributions to the Great American Songbook. New members are inducted into the Hall of Fame in an annual ceremony and Gala performance. Michel Feinstein hosted the event which honored legends George and Ira Gershwin, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme and the fabulous Chita Rivera. The National Broadway Chorus, Grammy nominated recording artist and musical treasure Marilyn Maye, Tony Award winning Karen Ziemba, 2015 Great American Songbook Academy Winner Lucas Debard and Broadway Star Chris Mann all performed special tributes the new 2015 Honorees. Don Farrell, Artistic Director of Actors Theatre of Indiana emceed the gourmet gala dinner which included entertainment from 2014 Youth Songbook Ambassador Madelyn Baillio and followed with a Live Auction. The night was filled with guests dressed to the nines and a complete Palladium transformation, which included five themed clubs with live music, food, cocktails and dancing. “Where’s Amy?” had the opportunity to meet Michael Feinstein and his charming spouse Terrence Flannery making the night complete. Hat’s off to co-chairs Cheri and Rollie Dick and the wonderful Gala Committee Chairs, Palladium staff, volunteers, sponsors and President/CEO Tania Castroverde Moskalenko for pulling off an unforgettable evening to raise funds to support the critical educational programs and artistic vision of the Center and their work to bring the world to Central Indiana.
