Final bridge beam setting at 106th Street tonight

0

Tonight, construction crews plan to set the final overhead bridge beams for the new US 31 interchange at 106th Street in Carmel. Various lane restrictions should be expected in this area between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

The new interchanges at 106th and 116th streets will be the final interchanges constructed on the new US 31 Hamilton County freeway project and are anticipated to be open to traffic before the end of this year.

Crews are also making progress on new ramp configurations at the US 31 and I-465 interchange. While some construction in this area is expected to continue into 2016, work is on schedule to meet the goal of having all ramps open and free-flowing freeway traffic on US 31 north of I-465 by the end of this year.
