Fall is officially here, and the City of Noblesville is pleased to announce its upcoming Halloween activities—the Family Community Halloween Party and Trick-or-Treating.
The Noblesville Parks and Recreation Dept. and the Hamilton County Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs have invited families to a Halloween party Forest Park Shelters 3 and 5. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 30, guests are invited to come dressed in their Halloween costume while they enjoy games, dancing, music, hayrides, storytelling around a campfire and plenty and more.
New this year will be two competitions. Infant, youth, teens and adults can participate in the costume contest. The pumpkin carving contest will have youth, teen and adult groups. Participants are asked to bring pre-carved pumpkins to the contest.
Volunteers are still needed to help with the Halloween party by assisting with decorating prior to the event from 3 to 5 p.m. and assisting with activities during the party from 6 to 9 p.m. Volunteers will receive a free pizza dinner from 5 to 5:30 p.m. To sign up or learn more about volunteering at the party, call Cindy Knapp at 770-5750.
The official trick-or-treat hours in the city of Noblesville will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31. The Noblesville Police Dept. will have extra patrols out that evening to provide additional security. Motorists are asked to use extra care while driving that night.
