Obituary: Virginia Lee Perry

Virginia Lee Perry, 84, Westfield, died Sept. 25 at Riverview TCU in Noblesville. She was born June 7, 1931 to Brooks and Marion (Ross) Short in West Lafayette.

Virginia was a member of Alpha Delta Pi at Purdue University and was one of the first women in Purdue’s Chemical Engineering Program. She was an exceptionally bright student in both high school and college. Virginia loved to sew and knit and was one of three loving sisters. She previously attended Noblesville First United Methodist Church.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Kim (Barry) Kiesel; son, Mike Tippey; grandchildren, Nicholas Peskoe and Kellie Tippey; and sisters, Marion (James) Hoffmeyer and Thelma (Robert) Ploughe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Russel Perry and granddaughter, Kathryn Ann Peskoe.

Services were held Sept. 27 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center. Chaplain Susan Jacques officiated. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
