Traders Point Christian Academy and Christian Youth Theater Indy are launching a new collaboration project.

Ron Evans, TPCA head of school, and Laura Baltz, managing director of CYT Indy announced this week that Traders Point students will have the opportunity to participate in a high-quality theater experience as part of their co-curricular options.

“We have had a program with the younger students at TPCA for years and this is a logical next step,” Baltz said. “The ability to further our mission to develop character in young people through the means of this collaboration is exciting.”

“I believe strongly in the value of a vibrant arts program,” Evans said. “CYT staff has many years of experience putting on high quality performances. This partnership is a natural fit because both organizations missions are based on their common commitment to glorify Christ in all things.”

The first play will be “The Jungle Book.” Auditions will take place in August with performances in early November. There will be 50 spots available for TPCA students in the production, which will take place in the J.K. Stevens Commons on the TPCA campus.
