Police are asking the public to help them locate this man.

Carmel police are asking for help to identify a man who attempted to rob the Orange Leaf on W. 116th Street on Aug. 20.

According to police, the man entered the store and went into the restroom for 20 minutes. When he emerged, he “sat down on a couch and appeared nervous” before going to the cash register and telling the employee he would shoot her if she didn’t give him money.

As this was happening, the employee’s father entered the store to drop something off. The suspect ran off when they employee told her father what was occurring.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with dark jeans. He appears to be in his early to mid-20s with a thin beard.
