Carolyn M. Jennings, 84, Noblesville, died July 25 at Riverview TCU in Noblesville. She was born May 20, 1931 to Myrvel J. “Sam” and Ruth (Thorp) Jennings in Cicero.

Carolyn was the Salutatorian of the Noblesville High School graduating class of 1949. She loved working for Firestone in Noblesville and called it home for 56 1/2 years, beginning in 1952. At her retirement, due to the Noblesville plant being closed, Carolyn was the employee with the most years of service throughout the entire Bridgestone Firestone Corporation. She was a member of Noblesville Friends Church, Firestone Retirees, Radiant Chapter 200 Order of Eastern Star, and National Honor Society since 1948. Carolyn owned bulldogs since she was a child, and especially loved her bulldogs, Honda and Harley. She had a heart of gold, and was always willing to help others. Carolyn’s strength could be seen in everything she did.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Jennings of Noblesville; nieces, Pam (Terry) Austin of Noblesville, and Chris (Randy) Noble of Arcadia; nephew, Phil Jennings of Noblesville; great-nephews, Steve (Tammie) Austin, and Ryan Austin; and great-great-nieces and nephews, Skyler, Mason, and Alexyss Austin, Abby Warner, and Aubrey Austin.

In addition to her parents, brother, Fredrick Jennings, preceded her in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to Noblesville Friends Church, 1055 E. Division St., PO Box 375, Noblesville, IN 46060; or Humane Society for Hamilton County, 1721 Pleasant St., Suite B, Noblesville, IN 46060.
