Paula Presnoples calls herself a Change Professional.

But she’s only been one for four years. Before, she retired in 2008 and her husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer a year later.

Presnoples tried to help him with breathing exercises to control his pain and anxiety throughout his disease. She even began looking into clinical hypnosis.

“(When) I began to research what techniques might be more sustaining, hypnosis kept coming up in my research, which I rejected because I wasn’t interested in my husband barking like a dog, I wanted to help his pain,” Presnoples said.

Yet with more and more research, Presnoples realized there was a huge difference between stage and clinical hypnosis. However, her husband died before she could try to help him with clinical hypnosis.

“There was something about the idea of harnessing the power of one’s own brain to improve the quality of life that grabbed me and wouldn’t let go,” Presnoples said. That led to the creation of her new business, Ur Path.

Presnoples attended school to become a certified hypnotist. The Ur Path office is in Fishers at 8499 Fishers Center Dr.

Although her office is in Fishers, Presnoples said many of her clients are from Geist.

“I find people from Geist to be intelligent and willing to do the work required to make the desired change. It is a joy to work with people who are motivated and eager to have the life they want,” Presnoples said.

Ur Path helps individuals and businesses with change, and Presnoples works with those people to create a desired outcome.
