Police arrested a man who drove through three yards in the early hours of Aug. 7 before coming to a stop in the landscaping at a home on St. John Circle.

Ryan Conrad, 21, of Zionsville was charged with Operating While Intoxicated after officers tested his blood alcohol level at the scene.

“Mr. Conrad stated he was driving too fast due to his windows being fogged up he failed to execute his turn on his way to a friend’s house,” said Sgt. Adrian Martin of the Zionsville Police Department. “Officers on scene stated there were tire marks approximately 250 feet leading up to (the vehicle’s) final resting place.”

Police arrested Conrad without incident and transported him to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.
