Naomi Fay McCubbins Sylvester will celebrate her 85th birthday on July 12.
Sylvester was born in Indianapolis to the late Ernest and Edna McCubbins and had two older brothers the late Kirg “Mickey” McCormack and Harold McCubbins. She married Robert Sylvester on September 4, 1948 by her Great Uncle, the Reverend Joseph Shepherd.
The Sylvesters have lived in Noblesville throughout their married life. They have one son, Mickey Sylvester who resides with wife, Cassie, in Greenback, Tenn. and a granddaughter, Jennifer Sylvester, of Noblesville. She also has a grand dog, Holly, and a great grand dog, Sophie. Sylvester was a volunteer in the North Elementary school library and active in line dancing at the Noblesville Senior Center, Lawrence VFW and the Sheridan Community Center. She was also a volunteer to elderly and shut-ins through the Carmel and Noblesville Senior Citizens Centers.
Sylvester will celebrate locally.
