Road construction updates – Week of June 22

Connor Creek and Burberry Place 

Concrete repair work will be taking place in both neighborhoods the week of June 22.

Eller Road Closure 

Eller Road between 106 Street and 116 Street will be closed for the replacement of the bridge over Cheeney Creek. The road will be closed to traffic through early August. During this time a detour will be available along 106 Street, Allisonville Road and 116 Street. Fishers Heritage Park will be accessible during construction, and local traffic will be able to proceed south on Eller Road as far as Round Up Trail and White Horse Lane. This is a Hamilton County Highway Department project and questions can be directed to their department at (317) 773-7770.
Fall Creek Bridge Lane Restriction 

Continuing the week of June 22, there will be daily lane restrictions between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. along the Fall Creek Bridge over Geist. This project is funded by the Geist Impoundment fun and lanes will be closed opposite of rush hour traffic patterns. Restrictions and closures will allow the city’s contractor to installs electric and lighting upgrades.  This project will take roughly 30 days to complete.

Georgia Road 

Restrictions continue the week of June 22 on 104 Street between Georgia Road and Florida Road to allow for shoulder work.  There will be flaggers onsite during construction.

96 Street Power Lines 

Power line transfers and old pole removal will be taking place the week of June 22 along 96 Street going east from Cyntheanne Road to Fortville city limits. This project is ongoing and updates will be posted as they become available. Flaggers will be onsite to help direct traffic.

106 Street Restrictions 

There will be rolling lane restrictions on 106 Street between Cumberland Road and Allisonville Road, and along Allisonville Road between 106 Street and 116 Street while Duke Energy removes old poles.  Arrow boards and flaggers will be present to help direct traffic.

 

131 Street Construction 

Road and shoulder construction will be ongoing along 131 Street between Parkside Drive and Cumberland Road. Updates on this project will be posted as they become available, and flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic.
