It’s being billed as the “biggest, most extraordinary and most inclusive family reunion in history.” The Global Family Reunion is a worldwide event for anyone who is part of the human race, simultaneously taking place on June 6 at satellite locations across the globe including Zionsville’s SullivanMunce Cultural Center.

The idea behind the reunion is that “all humans are related, and we need to start treating each other with more kindness,” according to the global family reunion website.

The main event will take place in New York’s Hall of Science – the grounds of the World’s Fair – and will include presentations by celebrities, genealogists and famous scientists. Live feed from New York presenters will connect the party in Zionsville to the main event.

Also in Zionsville, six genealogists will assist visitors in starting research into their family history. There will be exhibits from the Boone County Genealogy and the Zionsville Historical societies and activities for children throughout the day. Two historic walking tours of Zionsville will be offered as well as tours of the genealogy library.

The Sullivan Munce Cultural Center and Fort Wayne’s Allen County Public Library are the only Indiana locations hosting the event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
