Fifty mailboxes destroyed in early morning property damages


Today at approximately 4:13 a.m., Westfield police officers were dispatched to the Centennial Housing Addition on the report that several mailboxes were damaged by an unknown suspect(s).

When officers arrived, it was determined that around 50 mailboxes were damaged. One front door of a residence was also damaged by a type of firework. Mailboxes were struck or knocked over, believed to have occurred this morning around 4 a.m. Additionally, no suspect information is known at this time.
