Geist restaurant Red Sake wants guests to know they’re all welcome-even the furry, four-legged kind. Red Sake is located at 11228 Fall Creek Rd. in Fishers. Owner, Tim Breunig, opened the restaurant in November of 2013.

The restaurant offers a variety of delectable Asian dishes. Guests can choose from traditional Chinese fare such as crab rangoon, eggrolls, fried rice and kung pao chicken. Specialty sushi rolls are offered and are named after different various parts of Indiana. The 317 roll, the Ms. Fall Creek roll and the boilermaker roll are all popular choices. Vietnamese pho is offered along with Korean bulgogi. New to the menu are specialty burgers including a Vietnamese burger with ground pork and lemongrass and a Korean burger with kimchi.

Red Sake offers indoor seating and a small bar area. In the spring of 2014 Breunig added a patio for outdoor seating, although, this is no ordinary patio. It’s slightly elevated and has a special secluded seating area. It’s decorated with traditional paper lantern lights and flowers.

“We wanted to do a normal railing but we decided to do special slats to create privacy. When you sit out there it’s actually pretty secluded. We have a private table in the back that a lot of people gravitate toward,” said Breunig.

The best part about the patio area? Furry four-legged friends are welcome. Red Sake offers water bowls and treats for man’s best friend to enjoy while guests enjoy their dinner.

“There are so many that walk along Fall Creek and have asked but most people aren’t aware that the patio is dog friendly. They’re surprised that we do,” said Breunig.

Red Sake is open for lunch 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Friday and open for dinner from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
