The leadership of Indiana University Health’s North Central Region (including IU Health North, Saxony and Tipton hospitals) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kandice Ludwig, MD, as the Medical Director of the region’s Breast Care Program. Dr. Ludwig will take the place of Patricia Rae Kennedy, MD, FACS, who recently accepted a position in her home state of New York to be nearer to her family.

“We are sad to see Dr. Kennedy go, but we know she is leaving our Breast Care Program in very capable hands with Dr. Ludwig,” said Jonathan R. Goble, president and CEO of IU Health’s North Central Region. “Since joining IU Health five years ago, Dr. Ludwig has practiced at both IU Simon Cancer Center and IU Health North and has been a shining example of the quality care and expertise that our patients have come to expect at our hospitals. We’re so excited she has accepted this new position in our region, and we look forward to her leadership.”

Dr. Ludwig attended medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine, completed her surgical training at Texas A&M University, and went on to complete her breast surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan. In her new role, she will practice at both IU Health North and Saxony Hospitals.
