James W. Blazier, 75, of Noblesville died April 2, 2015 at IU Health North Hospital in Carmel surrounded by his loving family. Born Feb. 20, 1940 in Noblesville, he was the son of Joseph and June Rose (Taylor) Blazier.

He lived in Noblesville and grew up farming, which he enjoyed his whole life. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis for 43 years, before retiring in 2002. He also was a reserve police officer for Noblesville from 1970 to 1978. He loved to hunt, fish, shoot trap and play cards. Since 1982, he had been a member of the Hamilton Masonic Lodge Local No. 533.

Survivors include his wife, Nita Blazier; brothers, Joseph (June) Blazier and Jaye (Connie) Blazier; sisters, Judith Arney and Jillayne Cox; daughters, Cheryl (Rick) Russell and Jamie Wilcher; son, James Wayman Blazier II; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several other family members and loved ones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William Nelson Blazier; and sister, Joerenea Strong.

Funeral services were held April 8 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Rd., Noblesville, with the Rev. Michael Harris officiating. Burial followed at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
