Westfield’s City Council will host an informational meet-and-greet event at the Grand Park Sports Campus from 9 a.m. to noon April 18.

“As the season opens at Grand Park, we want to make ourselves available to all residents who may have questions about the facility, or who are newcomers to Westfield. It’s a great opportunity for everyone to see the park in action and to learn more about what’s happening around the community as well,” City Council President Chuck Lehman stated.

Grand Park, which opened last spring, saw a total of 906,796 visits and is estimated that the state and local revenue impacts from hosted events generated $5.2 million. The nearly 400-acre sports complex also serves as the practice area for Indy Eleven.

“We’ve seen some pretty phenomenal success from Grand Park, and it wasn’t even fully operational last year,” said Jim Ake, council vice president. “We are excited to meet with folks and answer any questions they might have or listen to suggestions on how we can improve the park experience.”

Council members will be stationed at several locations throughout the park and will provide coffee and donuts. The entire community is encouraged to attend.
