Zionsville Town Council members at-large Jeff Papa and Susana Suarez filed for re-election on Jan. 30 at the Boone County courthouse. Papa is immediate past president of the council and will be interim mayor if the town’s reorganization with Perry Township is upheld by the courts. Suarez is the vice president of the council and president of the safety board.
Residents wishing to run in the May 5 primary election – including for offices created by the reorganization – must submit their candidacy by Feb. 6. Residents may seek to run in the primary election by filing the appropriate forms with the Boone County Clerk.
