Scott R. Hartman, 37, of Noblesville, died Dec. 8, 2014 in Newport, Tenn. Born Oct. 28, 1977 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Jerry and Jean (Hillbish) Hartman.

He was the quality systems manager for North America at Sealed Air in Greenville, S.C. He was a graduate of Purdue University and was an active member of his church, Brandywine Community Church, in Greenfield. He was involved in youth, orphan and prayer ministries here, but his greatest passion was dedicating his time to helping the Christ Compassion Orphanage in Haiti. His service was not limited to his work in Haiti or his church; he was also a dedicated foster parent. He was a compassionate, loyal friend to all who entered his life, but most importantly, he was an incredibly loving and devoted father and husband.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Hake) Hartman; children, Charles, Jacob, Riley and Mason; mother, Jean (Hillbish) Hartman; sister, Cathy (Jeff) Miller; nephew, Stephen Miller; father-in-law, Gary Hake; mother-in-law, Tammie Hake; sisters-in-law, Jessie Hake and Carrie (Brad) Rosebrock; niece, Grace Rosebrock; and step-mother, Carol Hartman.

His father precedes him in death.

Memorial services were held Dec. 20 at Brandywine Community Church with the Rev. Mark Wright officiating. Burial followed at Cicero Cemetery.
