Ada P. Chastain, 77, of Noblesville, died Nov. 30, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. Born Sept. 20, 1937 in Harlan County, Ky., she was the daughter of James and Clarabelle (Brock) Ledford.
She was a member of Green Valley Church of Christ. She retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. after 29 years, and had also worked at the Rainbow Roller Rink.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin Chastain; son, Richard Chastain; grandchildren, Chris Baker, Nicole Baker and Pvt. Travis Chastain; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Cody, Blake and Summer Baker; and sisters, Dorothy England, Louise Eads, Jo Ann Powell, Sue Erney, Sheila Chadwell and Connie Wyatt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Roger Chastain; daughter, Melba Chastain; and brother, James D. Ledford.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 4 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Rd., Noblesville, with Dr. Richard Bailey officiating. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 3 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville. Online condolences may be made at www.randallroberts.com.
