Now that the doors are open, audiences are excited and inquiring, “When does the music start??” The Warehouse is pleased to announce its first musical event, Art & Harmony: Singer/Songwriter Showcase on Saturday, October 11, 2014, 6:00-8:00 PM.

Four musicians will be featured throughout the evening in a casual, acoustic-style concert with each act performing a short set to introduce themselves and their music to new audiences. This event is free and open to the public, to allow audience members to stay for as many musicians as they like, while also having time to see their favorite local galleries during the SecondSaturday Gallery Walk in the Carmel Arts & Design District. Our cash bar will be open for guests 21 years of age and older (bring ID!).

“This is another great opportunity to show the community what The Warehouse is capable of. They’ve seen how great it looks, now we’re ready to show how great it sounds,” says Nicole O’Neal, Director of Operations at The Warehouse. “It’s also part of our mission to provide a place where local musicians can perform and thrive in a professional setting.”

Musicians and musical acts interested in being featured in the showcase should visitliveforthemusic.com for details.

The Warehouse opened its doors to the public and kicked off its Art & Harmony Series on September 13th with an art gallery exhibit featuring top fine artists from all over the Greater Indianapolis area (the “Art”) and music provided by dulcimerist Sharon O’Connell (the “Harmony”).

The Art & Harmony: Singer/Songwriter Showcase is the next show based on that theme, with music hosted in our performance space, while our permanent lobby gallery will feature artwork by Bruce Dean and Cindy Wingo.  New artwork by many great artists will be rotated into the gallery space throughout the year.

Located at 254 1st Avenue SW, adjacent to the Monon Trail, The Warehouse is a state-of-the-art performance venue fit for local performance artists, as well as regional and national acts. Audiences can expect a unique and intimate concert experience with their favorite performers, as well as opportunities to hear new sounds and styles of music.
