Fishers man victim of fatal motorcycle crash in Carmel last night


The following police notice was sent to Current in Carmel:

On September 26th, 2014, at approximately 8:48 p.m., Carmel Police responded to an accident involving a motorcycle in the roundabout at Hazel Dell Pkwy and 126th Street. Officers arrived and found one vehicle involved in the crash.

Based on preliminary information, it appears that a black 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by David S. Gray (54 year old from Fishers, IN) was traveling southbound Hazel Dell Pkwy at 126th Street. The driver collided with the curb on the north side of the roundabout. During the collision, the driver was ejected from the motorcycle.

The driver of the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle died at the scene as result of his injuries.

Accident reconstructionists from the Carmel Police Department are investigating the crash. The intersection of Hazel Dell Pkwy and 126th Street was temporarily closed during the investigation.
