Love reading? Love kids? Join Presbyterian Preschool Ministries and the United Way of Central Indiana by becoming a ReadUP Readers volunteer.

ReadUP Readers will begin in October at Presbyterian Preschool Ministries in Lebanon where tutors are needed on Tuesday through Friday at various times in the morning.  During each session, adult volunteers will read from selected books to a small group of children.

The United Way of Central Indiana’s ReadUP Readers program is designed to help prepare preschoolers for academic success.  The program matches volunteer readers with Central Indiana child care centers to introduce and promote a love of reading.  The goal is to provide a consistent opportunity for caring adults to read aloud to preschool children in a structured environment.

There is an online training course that is required for all ReadUP Readers volunteers.

Those interested becoming a ReadUP Readers volunteer should contact Amy Hammerle, Boone County Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, at 765-483-0165 or [email protected].
