Seeking an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to his community and to the continuing excellence of the Zionsville Community Schools, Zionsville resident Marc Mitalski has decided to become a candidate for a seat on the local school board.

Mitalski’s campaign motto, Children First, sums up the way he said he will approach his responsibilities as a school board member.  He explains his approach this way: “I will consider the issues that come before the board with a firm commitment to provide responsible oversight of the school system’s resources, and I will follow a basic guiding principle…to remain mindful of the community’s aspirations and goals for its children. My experience in structural engineering has engendered in me the ability to think clearly and to focus on the most important bottom-line facts of a matter. I will thoughtfully consider the benefit of any decision I’m called upon to make, and I will strive always to remember who we represent as school board trustees and why we are privileged to serve.”

Mitalski’s professional life has been centered on education. Earning a Master’s of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois and first pursuing employment opportunities in architecture and structural engineering, Mitalski then founded PREPARE, INC.  His company offers specialized educational programs in classroom and online environments. As president of the company and director of education, Mitalski provides personalized instruction to graduate students in the fields of architecture and structural engineering, to employees of corporations engaged in these enterprises and to architectural students who are preparing for their licensing examinations. His hands-on involvement with the educational mission of his company has taken him around the world.

In various community and faith-based organizations, Mitalski has sponsored early childhood education programs and coached youth football. To learn more about Mitalski and his campaign, visit www.mitalskiforschoolboard.com.
