A road closure is scheduled to begin on or after Sept. 8 at the existing roundabout at 103rd Street and Illinois Street. This is the next phase of this Illinois Street Extension project. During the closure, Illinois Street will be reconstructed and realigned, including realignment of the Superior Street connection to 103rd and transitioning 103rd and Illinois from the existing circulating roadway intersection to a Tee intersection. Once the road closes it will last approximately 30 days before re-opening to traffic.
A detour route using Spring Mill Road, 106th Street and US 31 (Meridian Street) will be in place for the entirety of this work.
