Barbara A. Beal-Groves, 81, of Noblesville, died July 30, 2014 at her residence. Born Aug. 5, 1932 in Anderson, she was the daughter of Clifford and Eunice James.
She was a member of Lawrence United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, where she was a volunteer in many areas for many years. She also volunteered her time at Riverview Health in Noblesville. She dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed going to their sporting events; and she loved gardening (especially flower gardens).
Survivors include her daughters, De (Rick) Elsbury and Tammy (Bret) Richardson; sons, Brad (Maggie) Beal and Bart (Bonnie) Beal; brother, William Thomas (Linda) James; brother-in-law, Robert (Marie) Beal; sister-in-law, Doris Boaz; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Byron Groves in 2012 and Otis E. Beal in 1986.
Funeral services were held Aug. 3 at Lawrence United Methodist Church, 5200 N. Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis, with the Rev. Joseph Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
