On June 12 the State of Indiana ordered two Golden Corral restaurants owned by Vaneady Restaurants, Inc., to close due to the franchisee’s failure to pay state taxes – one location was the restaurant at 15755 North Pointe Blvd., Noblesville. Corporate office officials from Golden Corral said the franchisee does not anticipate reopening the restaurants. A sign on the restaurant’s door states that the business is in violation of Indiana Code 6-2.5-9 and faces a Class A misdemeanor. It is estimated that 100 employees between the two stores are now unemployed.
