Two high school hockey clubs formerly known as Cathedral Chatard Hockey Club and Noblesville Hockey Club will unite to create an entirely new club named the Central Indiana Knights. This new team will be a part of the Hoosier High School Hockey Association that is comprised of high school hockey clubs in the central and southern Indiana area. The Central Indiana Knights will practice and play their home games at the Fishers Forum in Fishers, Indiana.
The Central Indiana Knights will unite the former clubs while preserving the heritage and pride they have built individually over the years. The new hockey club will represent eight area high schools to include Bishop Chatard, Cathedral, Guerin Catholic, Hamilton Heights, Noblesville, Park Tudor, Pendleton Heights and Sheridan.
“It takes a fair amount of commitment by players and their families to play hockey,” says John DeWaal, co-president of the Central Indiana Knights. “Combining our clubs affords our high school hockey players the opportunity to develop their skills and play in a supportive and competitive environment.”
“Through this merger it is important that we maintain the heritage of the former clubs and the schools they represented,” says Kevin Ward, co-president of the Central Indiana Knights. “As we build a new identity and sense of pride for the Central Indiana Knights we want be sure our individual pasts are not forgotten.”
