Attention Carmel commuters: Spring Mill Road to close

0

Staff report

Spring Mill Road will be closed at 103rd Street for three days beginning at 5:30 a.m. June 17.

City officials estimated the vital commuting artery would reopen by Juen 20.

The 3-day road closure is necessary for the installation of a storm sewer for the proposed roundabout construction at 103rd Street and Spring Mill Road.

Once Spring Mill re-opens to traffic it will remain open for approximately 45 days while 103rd Street at Spring Mill is reconstructed into a new alignment and roundabout with reconstructed lanes toward Superior Street.

Once the roundabout construction is nearing completion, Spring Mill will be closed again for approximately 15 days for construction of the north and south end connections to the new roundabout.

The road should be completely reopened to traffic around the middle of August.

103rd Street south of Superior and east of Spring Mill will be closed from June 16 and until the roundabout re-opens to traffic.

A detour route will be in place for the entirety of this work.
