Carmel resident Beverly Smock hit the Hoosier Lottery’s Cash 5 jackpot the night of May 24. The hairstylist and lifelong Hamilton County resident snagged a $336,533 jackpot on a ticket purchased at the Meijer gas station at 1426 W. Carmel Drive during the Memorial Day weekend.
Smock said she is a regular Cash 5 player and was shocked to discover all five numbers on her ticket matched all five numbers drawn in the May 24 Cash 5 drawing.
“Every one of the numbers matched!” Smock said. “I’d never seen that before. It’s exciting but you just don’t believe it!”
The winning numbers were 6-7-14-29-36.
Smock defied odds of 1:749,398 to win the jackpot. She said she and her husband plan to use her winnings to purchase a house and take a beach vacation.
The Cash 5 jackpot starts at $50,000 and increases every night until it is won.
