Village Dance Studio is preparing for a Spring Showcase of classes, which will be held at Zionsville West Middle School on May 10. So far this year, the studio has hosted a father-daughter Cinderella themed dance party as well as a Young Choreographers and More Night.
Village Dance Studio’s Ensemble has had a busy winter! This student-led group transformed the studio and Boys and Girls Club West into a fairy-tale setting for their popular Cinderella Ball. More than 150 fathers and daughters attended this fairy-tale themed event. The girls enjoyed dancing, games, crafts, snacks, limousine rides and more while being treated like princesses. The Ensemble hosts this popular event every other winter. The Cinderella Ball is open to the community and often sells out.
The Village Ensemble also hosted a Young Choreographers and More Night at the studio this spring. This family-friendly event gives the dancers a chance to select music and choreograph their own dance then perform. The audience and dancers also enjoyed a dessert bar throughout the evening.
Funds from both events and fall fundraisers supported the ensemble’s January trip to a dance convention in Chicago. Members of the ensemble attend Zionsville, Carmel, Western Boone, home schools and Indianapolis schools. The Studio is located upstairs in the Boys and Girls Club West building and has been in Zionsville more than 30 years.
