On March 18, The Boys & Girls Club of Zionsville will kick off its annual “It Just Takes One” Capital Campaign to help fund Club programs and services throughout 2014.  This year organizers hope to raise more than $90,000 to help cover operating expenses throughout the year.

“The Boys & Girls Club of Zionsville is growing right along with the Zionsville community,” said Rich Milliner, campaign chair.  “Last year alone, our Club West location saw more than 100 percent growth.  Hundreds of kids rely on us for our before and afterschool programming at both locations, and money from this campaign goes a long way in helping us offer a positive, safe environment for them.”

Funds raised through the IJTO campaign are a vital part of the organization’s operational budget. With annual membership fees of only $50 per child and expenses to run the clubs close to $400 per child, the Boys & Girls Club must look to the community and other funding sources to help them fill the gap each year.

“Each year we ask the Zionsville Community to step up and help us support our youth by contributing to It Just Takes One,” Milliner said.  “By contributing, you can feel confident that you are not only helping make a difference in these kids lives today – but you’re helping support a much needed organization, in our town, who’s programming helps set our kids on the path of being good citizens. And that investment is priceless.”
