Indy Eleven Professional Soccer fans will get the first look at their checkered-clad heroes Saturday, March 15, when the squad takes on the Tourbeau Soccer Academy at Westfield High School, 18250 N. Union St. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. with doors to the venue opening an hour earlier. Parking for the event will be free of charge and food trucks will be on hand for food and beverage options to enjoy.
Only 1,000 general admission tickets will be available for the contest between grandstand and grass berm seating areas. All tickets for the match, being held in conjunction with the Westfield Select Soccer Showcase, will cost $11 (plus fees) and go on sale beginning noon Saturday, March 8, online at www.IndyEleven.com. Tickets also will be sold at the WHS gate on game day beginning at 6 p.m.
Portions of the proceeds from this exhibition match will go towards the Westfield Youth Soccer Association and the Indiana Soccer Foundation, which is working with Indy Eleven to build a futsal field at an Indianapolis park for use by the entire community.
The March 15 match is the first of three preseason games before the new North American Soccer League squad starts its inaugural season. Home games in the future will be played at Michael A. Carroll Stadium at IUPUI.
