Boone County Senior Services, Inc. hosted a Veteran’s Pinning Ceremony Feb. 18 at Zionsville Meadows. 35 of the 57 veteran residents at Zionsville Meadows participated in the ceremony and received a certificate and pin to commemorate and honor their service to our country.
Chaplain Dave Clayton from Gentiva Hospice and volunteer Robert Wesseler, both retired military Veterans, presented the awards to each Veteran. Don Bays from local American Legion Post #79 was also present.
Boone County Senior Services, Inc. is proud to acknowledge and honor our senior Veterans and looks forward to hosting another Veteran Pinning Ceremony in May during Older American Month.
